During the 6th China Cup International Regatta, our AC GRINDER experience area is very popular with the public, as well as goverment officials and well-known sailors.
One the first day of China Cup, The deputy director of the Natioanl General Sports Bureau and China Sailing Association vice-president Mr. Quanhai Li has shown up at the experience area in person. After the experience, Li indicated that it was a very good domonstration to the public. Sunrise gave Li a pair of Harken reflex gloves as souvenir.
Steve McConaghy from Beijing Sailing Centre also came to the experience area. Steve MC is an old friend of Alan's. They had taken part in the first China Cup International Regatta in the champion team--Team Quantumn. Steve MC has 37 years of experience and knowledge in a wide range of classes worldwide. He sailed dingy¡¯s consistently from 7 to 25 years of age, winning an MJ nationals at the age of 13 and backed it up with 2 x Flying Eleven National title wins the following 2 years, in fleets of over 70 boats. He has won 3 Eleven Metre One Design world titles 2004-2006 as helmsman and won the Mumm30(now Farr30) worlds in 2008 as tactician. Since then he has won just about every Asian regatta on the circuit, winning the overall Asian pointscore several times. He has sailed almost 50000 ocean miles, including 12 x Sydney to Hobart races, finishing them all¡
