2013/10/28 - 2013 7th China Cup International Regatta
The 2013 7th China Cup International Regatta has concluded successfully, the 4 days program comprises the Hongkong to Shenzhen passage race, windward leeward course race, geometrical course race and the round island passage race. More than 90 teams from across the globe have participated in this leading yacht race in China mainland. With the increasing number of local Chinese sailors, we have seen few of the new Chinese local teams in the Beneteau 40.7 one design group, Soto 27 one design group, Swedish designed Daytripper one design group and the IRC groups. "It is a positive indication of the booming yachting market in this part of the world" commented by Peter Harken, the chairman and founder of the world's leading deck equipment manufacturer HARKEN Inc. Peter had a close perception of this 2013 China cup, he was on a custom 75 "Jelik" owned by Eastern Asia well known yachter Frank Pong. Sunrise Marineware has again teamed up with China cup this year, offered the onsite regatta support and yachting culture promotion at the regatta venue "sailing experience pavilion".
