BARCELONA, Spain — In a move that reunites two powerhouse names in high-performance sailing, INEOS Britannia has officially named Harken as an Official Supplier for the 37th America’s Cup.
The renewed collaboration centers on a shared mission: to design, test, and manufacture cutting-edge equipment engineered specifically for the British team’s Test Boats and their newly unveiled AC75 Race Boat.
Engineering for the Pinnacle of Sailing
Under the agreement, Harken will supply a comprehensive suite of custom and grand prix equipment crucial to the team's performance on the water, including:
Advanced deck hardware and high-load blocks
Specialized winch systems
Custom-engineered hydraulic cylinders
To meet the unforgiving timelines and strict technical constraints of the America’s Cup, the equipment is being designed and manufactured across Harken’s premier facilities in Pewaukee, Wisconsin (USA) and Limido Comasco (Italy).
A Partnership Built on Innovation
As the British Challenger of Record representing the Royal Yacht Squadron Ltd, INEOS Britannia faces the unique challenge of exploring advanced technologies under heavily compressed timelines. Leadership from both organizations highlighted the depth of the technical reliance required to win the oldest international trophy in sports.
"Our partnership with Harken transcends mere design and execution. We send them innovative concepts and ideas and they develop them into assets that significantly increase our performance on the water. They are the perfect case study for a high-functioning partnership that we depend on."— Sir Ben Ainslie, CEO and Skipper of INEOS Britannia
"Collaborating and problem solving with some of the smartest minds in the industry to develop the best equipment possible is the challenge we’re made for. Working together to set new standards epitomizes who we are and keeps us At The Front."— Mark Wiss, Harken Director of Custom and Grand Prix Sales
